Coach Sean Smith's basketball career started at Walter G. O’Connell High School, where he was a 3-year Varsity starter and got awards such as NYS Top 50 player, All-Long Island and was the Team MVP consecutively for 3 years. He also led his team to a Suffolk County Championship title, which was the first championship at Copiague in years. He went on to play for the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith, a D1 Junior College. He then transferred to Dowling College where he played for 3 years. After college, his passion grew more and more for basketball coaching and training for players of all ages. In 2020 he was the Head JV Coach at Mineola High School. Sean is currently Assistant Coach for Long Island Lutheran Regional team.
